From Mountain Troodos, to the treatment room
Mont Trod was founded by Dr. Helena Topouzi, a biochemist who is inspired by her roots from Mountain Troodos. That heritage shaped the brand's raw materials, Cypriot rosewater, olive, and wild botanicals, sourced through direct relationships with small local farmers. It did not shape the standard we formulate to.
Every active in every Mont Trod product, ceramides, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, the botanical extracts alongside them, is included because of published, peer-reviewed evidence for what it does on skin, not because it fits a story. For a spa or hotel deciding what goes on the treatment menu, that distinction is the one that matters: a brand with a genuine sense of place, formulated with the rigour a professional setting requires.
Mont Trod's products are expertly manufactured in Cyprus within a licensed and authorised cosmetics facility, authorised by the National Cosmetics Council. The facility operates in accordance with the Rules of Good Manufacturing Practice of 2004, and our products comply with European Regulation 1223/2009 and Cyprus's National Legislation on Cosmetic Products, Law 57(1)/2017. All labelling meets the required regulatory provisions, and every product is reported to the Cosmetic Product Notification Portal (CPNP) of the EU.
Why choose to work with us
-
Every ingredient, referenced.
Each active in the Mont Trod range is backed by cited, peer-reviewed research, documented ingredient by ingredient on our ingredients page. Your therapists can explain mechanism, not just marketing language, when a guest asks what's in the product.
-
Formulated for barrier function first.
Ceramide- and hyaluronic-acid-based formulas built around barrier support, hydration, and antioxidant protection, suited to skin that's recently been in sun, seawater, or a treatment room, where resilience matters more than fragrance or texture alone.
-
A traceable supply chain.
Cypriot rosewater, olive oil, and grapeseed oil sourced through direct relationships with small local farmers. That traceability is a story guests can be told accurately.
The science, briefly
Ceramides - replenishes lipids that decline with age or barrier compromise, supporting moisture retention and resilience.
Hyaluronic acid - humectant; increases hydration and elasticity, supports barrier function.
Niacinamide - supports barrier strength, evens tone, provides antioxidant protection against environmental stressors.
Snow algae - antioxidant-rich (astaxanthin); supports skin defence against UV and oxidative stress.
Crocus chrysanthus bulb extract - supports cell regeneration and skin vitality.
Pre/postbiotic complex - supports skin microbiome balance and barrier recovery.
A ready-made protocol structure
Mont Trod is already built as a sequence rather than a shelf of standalone products, which makes it straightforward to translate into a treatment: cleanse (Λασμαρί), hydrate (Ρόδο face serum), restore (Ανθός face cream), revive the eye contour (Αμαμελίς), and finish with the Καρπός face oil, gua sha optional. The Χώμα clay mask works as a 2-3x weekly deep-treatment add-on.
This gives your spa team a defensible starting structure for a signature Mont Trod treatment, which we'll adapt with you to fit your existing menu.
